Why you can't entirely trust the internet for news

I sent this article entitled "Why Marin County Has The Highest Breast Cancer Rates In The US"
The chance discovery of an abstract in the Journal of Environmental Radioactivity, "Radiocesium in North San Francisco Bay and Baja California coastal surface waters", provided me with an answer to a puzzling question about breast cancer. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent by the University of California to identify the cause of what may be the highest breast cancer rates in the United States in Marin County, California, just north of San Francisco.
...to someone ‘in the know.’ Here’s his acerbic reply:
This article is unsubstantiated and complete bullshit.

This is everything that is evil about the internet.

There is minimal increase in breast cancer in women of Chernobyl. It's THYROID assholes.

There has never been an association with background radiation and increased breast cancer rate. If they correct for the fact that the average first-time mom in Marin County is 38 years old, the difference between the baseline population goes to zero.

Pull your head out of your ass.

Don't hold back, dude.
