A Funny Thing happened On The Way To The Forum Store

It's no secret that we're pissed off and our friends are sick of listening to us, heck, it's our logo! And I had 12, OK 6 ... would you believe 3 hot and snarky posts ready to go about the abysmal state of the world ... but then I walked to the store and looked around my neighborhood.
The heat has broken, it's a warm summer's night, and folks are hanging on the stoops, promenading and visiting, just checking in with their neighbors. Black, white, brown, yellow, red ... and any other color of the rainbow that some people want to divide us by.
Just folks, just talking and laughing, scolding some kids and cosseting others, no anger, and just 'ain't it a great night' rings thru.
I am so thankful that I get to enjoy nights like this. I wish everyone could.
And that's as close as I care to get to serious subjects tonight.

I'm glad the heat has broken here...Santa Barbara isn't really equipped for extreme heat. (It got to 101) We're not equiped for any rising of the seas, either. The town basically sits 18 feet above sea level...and with the glaciers melting at such a fast pace...we're in for a tough time.
As one of our aptly named streets kinda says it all...Salsipuedes. (Get out if you can!)
CJ, thanks for coming by. One day we hope to have posts so brilliant that we actually get the cookies. They look so good on your personal site.
And the way things are going, you can probably just bake them on the dashboard.
