Which Party is it that Safeguards America?

Certainly not those "cut-and-run" democrats who want to get our soldiers out of the middle of a civil war in Iraq.
Well, we all know now just how good they are at protecting the homeland: ignoring pointed warnings from multiple sources, vacationing during a time of great danger to America, the 9-11-01 WTC attack which, no matter how many times they close their eyes and cross fingers behind their backs and wish it wasn't so, happened on their watch, and a general lack of security for our ports and cities because of the steady drain of resources for Iraq.
And then there is their well-know penchant for losing government computers with sensitive data. From Raw Story:
The Energy Department inspector general said Friday that the "office in charge of protecting American technical secrets about nuclear weapons from foreign spies is missing 20 desktop computers, at least 14 of which have been used for classified information," reports the New York Times.…"This is the 13th time in a little over four years that an audit has found that the department, whose national laboratories and factories do most of the work in designing and building nuclear warheads, has lost control over computers used in working on the bombs," writes Matthew Wald.Doesn't it just warm the cockles of your heart to know that our "security" is in such good hands? And that our nuclear secrets my now be in the hands of, well, use your imagination?
Sounds like time to turn the case over to a crack spy in the Counter-proliferation section of the CIA who can go in under deep cover through a front company and…oh…uh…hmm…Bush already exposed Valerie Plame, didn't he? Never mind.
