OK, let me see if I'm getting this straight...
posted by The Vidiot @ 3:14 PM Permalink Detainees, with actual heartbeats, mothers and sentience, are NOT personsA Court of Appeals for the Washington, D.C. Circuit ruled Friday that detainees at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, are not "persons" according to it's interpretation of a statute involving religious freedom.but Corporations are.
Does anybody else think that's crazy?

This should be smacked down quick when it hits the SCOTUS. And rightfully so. Being an atheist doesn't mean that I am not sensitive to the religion of others, but this throwback to the early days of America when black men were slaves and not considered to be men must be struck down. Or next they'll rule women can't vote.
We are destroying ourselves from the inside goin' out.
A cancer that needs to be eradicated, IMHO.
