Our complicit media.

I was going to write a post about this, but Media Matters did a much better job already.

Excerpt: Summary: Few major news outlets have covered the fact -- first reported by the New York Daily News -- that in a letter to I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's defense attorneys, special counsel Patrick J. Fitzgerald said that numerous emails from 2003 are missing from the White House computer archives.

How can the media ignore such a thing? Entire emails deleted in an obvious cover up. I mean, I know how they can, why they can, etc. But jeebus! And that's not the only thing they're ignoring. I mentioned it in a post below, but they're ignoring the Downing Street Memos Part Deux as well.

Excerpt: A memo of a two-hour meeting between the two leaders at the White House on January 31 2003 - nearly two months before the invasion - reveals that Mr Bush made it clear the US intended to invade whether or not there was a second UN resolution and even if UN inspectors found no evidence of a banned Iraqi weapons programme.

Here's a dKos diary on it.
