Tom DeLay just doesn't have the Constitution for the job

Yesterday: Rebuffed by court, GOP quits bid to get DeLay off ballot

Today: DeLay Says He'll Still Work to Be Taken Off Ballot

In DeLay's own words:
My action was taken in accordance with Texas law, federal precedent and common sense. I felt it was my duty to allow Texas Republicans to choose a new candidate for the Fall Election Ballot.
[...]
Unfortunately, the Federal courts have slammed the door shut on a fair ballot choice between two 22nd District residents representing our two major parties.
Supreme Court Justice Scalia refused to hear DeLay's appeal, but the last Appelate decision said:
the Constitution and Texas law barred tampering with candidate lists.

Indeed, the judges said, "it was the voters themselves who selected DeLay as the Republican candidate for the general election."
So DeLay is ignoring the will of the voters, the Constitution, and every state and federal judge who ever heard the case, including Scalia.

Welcome to CandySugar Land.

Anyone else remember the rethugs shouting 'rule of law, rule of law' during the 2000 Bush v. Gore election?
