Biden's big mouth

Mr. Vidiot went OFF last night when he heard what Biden had said about Obama. Not so much because of what he said, which was pretty bad (no matter how Biden tries to backtrack), but the way it was addressed in the news story. Not one person mentioned the existence of the unconscious racism that is part of this country's psyche. What Biden was talking about was the fact that Obama is a non-threatening black man. He's more like a white man and therefore more acceptable. The "first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy" comment indirectly implies that the OTHER African-Americans are NOT that at all.

Pretty appalling, huh?

Though, not as appalling as Barbara Bush's post-Katrina Astrodome comment "This is working very well for them." Jeebus.
