The real insult to intelligence reported regarding this is that they are claiming that the circular, concave metal caps that act as the projectile, and which blows through steel armor quite easily, are of such precise machining that ONLY Iran could possibly be supplying them.
What a crock. I'll bet almost any high schooler taking metal shop could replicate these caps in just a few hours on a lathe.
They also "think" that the trigger mechanisms "may" be of Iranian origin. The sample IEDs they showed looked ancient and corroded and hardly of recent manufacture.
That certainly makes an iron-clad, firm, tentative, maybe case to me and removes all doubt from my mind that Iran is involved – NOT.
Not only that. But isn't it the Shiites, not the Shias that are using the IEDs? Why would Iran arm Shiites?
