Those MSM scallywags

There is a constant manipulation of information by MSM. You know it. I know it. It's not news. But lately, I've beginning to notice that it's getting clumsier and clumsier.

Case in point: Ron Paul

During the debate last night, Ron Paul again made points like
Excerpt: Reprising his role as the candidate most willing to buck Republican orthodoxy, Ron Paul accused the government of intervening in the Middle East to protect the interests of powerful oil companies during Tuesday night’s Republican debate.

“It had to do with oil,” Paul said of the US’s involvement in overthrowing the premier of Iran in 1953. He said US policy in the Middle East has continued to be pursued primarily in the interests of obtaining oil.
Now, even though I think the "war for oil" thing is a little reductionist (it's also about hegemony and power and the military industrial complex, etc.), it's not so far off enough that it can't be embraced my most with at least a modicum of common sense. All the other Republican candidates are idiots. This guy is at least throwing red meat at the Republican base.

But what does CNN do? Well, Ron Paul IS NOT one of the anointed. The MSM has not chosen him and does not want to. He's a threat to them for some reason. So, after the debates, after the comment thread had been loaded to the gills with glowing comments about Ron Paul, CNN deleted the comments and replaced them with comments from the previous DEMOCRATIC debate.

Really. They did.

And check out this Talk Clock from the debate.
Giuliani and McCain, the two biggest idiots running, got two and a half times the talk time that Paul did.
