…and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

The Presidential oath of office:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
This highly recognized oath taken by new presidential office holders immediately disqualifies Huckabee from holding that very office, or, at least it should.

By now almost every American has heard the speech he gave in Michigan, saying (to cheers from the audience! Ugh! Spit, sh*t and go blind!):
“I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And thats what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than trying to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family.”
This is Constitutional heresy, to announce and be proud of the fact that, instead of honoring the oath of office for the President to preserve, protect and defend the constitution, his stated intent is to rewrite the constitution to conform to his religious views.

If Huckaberrry Finn puts his hand on the bible and takes this oath, he will do so under false pretenses, and be lying to the country, himself, or both. Any change in the constitution to incorporate religion and dispense with the provisions for the separation of the state and religion would change the purpose and intent of the document he would have sworn before his god to PRESERVE, PROTECT, AND DEFEND.

Anyone advocating and declaring that not only will they not honor their oath, but that they will trash our constitution in deference to his religious views, would be a liar to the people of America and and a liar before the very god he purports to worship.

Such a person is deserving of only scorn and derision.

Period.
