The natives are getting restless

Somebody bombed the Army Recruiting office here in NYC. Nobody was hurt, but read what this idiot said:

"If it is something that's directed toward American troops than it's something that's taken very seriously and is pretty unfortunate," said Army Capt. Charlie Jaquillard, who is the commander of Army recruiting in Manhattan.

Obviously, the guy is an idiot. The bomb, I’m sure, was not directed at the Army, per se. While I do not condone such acts, it’s obvious that stuff like that is never actually so simple and one-dimensional and it doesn’t take a genius or a sympathizer to know that. Bombing a military recruitment office is a strike at the machine of war, it’s symbolic of that person(s) revulsion at the war machine and the parts of that machine that make it function. It’s an expression of anger and frustration and the need to express that anger and frustration. It was just a really big exclamation point. There's no way that it was directed at the troops. There's no way that it was directed towards any of those kids who are over there losing their limbs and minds. It was directed at those people and places that recruit those kids to feed the giant, out-of-control machine.

But I’m not saying anything you all don’t already know. That moron probably knows it as well, he’s just too much a part of the machine to say otherwise.

Update: You know, the more I think about that quote, the more annoyed I become. The MSM always quotes some moron. No matter what the story, they pick the dumbest person and quote them. Just once, I'd like to see something like "Well, a lot of people are against this war and this is one way to express that anger. Nobody was hurt. Had they wanted to hurt somebody, they would've. It's obvious they were just making a statement."

But noooooo. They never find THAT person. They usually just find the idiot who says "They don't support the troops!"

Jeebus.
