This is how foreign species of crocs/alligators wind up in our lakes, streams, and swamps. The jerkoffs who sneak them in country as 'pets' because they are so 'cute' don't know, but find out soon, that these animals will grow around 3' their first year of life and about a foot a year afterwards.
"But, honey, if we get one now we'll really have a great present for little baby Johnny on his 5th birthday!"
