Just a thought

I'm no economist, but it seems to me if you want to solve the foreclosure crisis then give the money to the homeowners to help them pay their mortgages, not to the mortgage holders. The lenders still get their money, the people get to keep their homes, which keeps their neighborhoods viable, which allows them to pay their property taxes, which keeps their schools viable, etc, etc, etc.

Let's try 'trickle up' for a change, I'm calling it the 'for want of a nail' approach.

If the point were to stabilize private property, then that's what they would do.

But that's not the point.
