The United States is not prepared to lift its trade embargo against Cuba, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said today, after Havana urged Washington to ease restrictions in the wake of a devastating hurricane.
So, basically, they just want to go in and snoop around but not help them out. Does this make any sense to anybody?

Reeling from almost nationwide destruction from hurricanes Gustav and Ike, cash-strapped Cuba Thursday charged the United States was "lying" about its stated willingness to help the communist country.

1961 was HOW long ago? Christ in a sidecar. Can this outdated grudge serve any interest other than keeping the locals away from all that dirty, local communism? Mind you, they most likely wanna go in and check on damage to their summer camp for unconfirmed scamps and scoundrels. Hypocritical foreign policies never make the least bit to me.
