Warning: Objects in mirror are closer than they appear…

…should be paraphrased as, "Warning: Dangers of military service are much closer and far worse than they appear…" for it matters not if you serve in a war zone, loading toxic ammunition, work with the nastiest solvents and cleansers in the world, work in, nearby, or transport nuclear weapons or leaky canisters of dangerous chemicals, drive trucks used to transport these type items, or simply innocently live downwind of one of the many hundreds of "super-toxic" sites left behind by the military, U.S. military service is dangerous to the life and safety of the individual.

The military has no regard for the safety of the individual soldier, merely hope that they can train a troop to stay alive through all the mud, blood, guts, gore, and exposure to the innumerable dangerous and often debilitating or deadly substances with which soldiers must work until their real aims may be achieved.

I believe that this is what will eventually lead to the collapse of the American form of government: caring so little for our fighting forces that little or no effort is made or being made to safeguard them from the innumerable poisons to which they are exposed practically daily (go out to any firing range and drink deep of the lead-filled air) and that bothers those in charge of our forces not at all.

Soldiers today are worse than fodder - they are distractions meant to draw attentions away from the many atrocities and genocides being conducted from the skies.

I have begun to believe there will be no peace among men until men no longer exist.

Bill;

The problem confronting humanity is a direct consequence of the human(tm) talent of intellect. Intellect is endemically innovative. Intellect is -- by the very nature of how the intellectual mind focuses on artificially manipulate information -- an unstable and psychotic circumstance.

The natural world is (naturally) dominated by that rule popularly (or maybe I should choose descriptive accuracy and say obscurely) known as "THE LAW OF THE MINIMUM."

Life forms that dominate their environments using artificially sustained (and advanced) methods of communication invariably do so by spontaniously maximizing their collateral intellectual talents of artificial technological manipulation.

ALL subscribers of intellectual communication skills ultimately talk to themselves. That is consequently because our own, species-oriented schizophrenia is so dynamically enhanced by the artifices of our imagination. Indeed, that is fundamentally because we are in fact spontaniously listening to our own intellectual compositions.

Until we ourselves (as a species) discover how to effectively emulate some environmentally sustainable minimum standard of existence,the the most violently vicious of the societies human kind produces will invariably oscillate out of control, committing an ultimate and insanely violent aftermath of species self-immolation.

Thanx for your comment, DanD. Read Konrad Lorenz's thesis on "Aggression" and you will be reading the blueprint for the failure of man as a species.

I always apprecieate comments regarding something I have posted - yours just happen to be particularly astute.

I thank you for providing the oportunity to observe and the Vidiot for the forum to express.

Of course, I frequently spoil everything by trying to be funny. From my sordid past of e-commentary, I think the Vidiot may understand my handicap.

Don't get me started on my handicaps! I'd burn up so much bandwidth it might bring down the entire internets - pipes and all!

Does anyone else feel that humanity is a virus that's killing it's host?
