If you just look at where the big ones have been -- Chile, New Zealand, and Japan -- traveling around that pacific rim in a clockwise direction, the next logical earthquake should be on the eastern edge of that plate which is all along the Pacific coast.Of course, if that edge of the plate rocks and rolls, no telling what would happened to the New Madrid. Something like that could wake up a sleeping giant.
